SUMMARY:Boulder County Overdose Awareness Day
DESCRIPTION:Canyon Blvd/Broadway St Booth #9 \nBoulder County’s Overdose Awareness Day will be hosted by the Boulder County Substance Use Advisory Group (SUAG) in collaboration with Boulder County Public Health’s Works Program. \nThis is a two-day event starting at 10am on Saturday\, August 20th and ending at 5pm on Sunday\, August 21st. The event will raise awareness and memorialize community members who have been lost to overdose. \nWe will be offering overdose prevention and education\, including naloxone administration training (free kits will be distributed). Pamphlets and information on resources services offered in the community will be available for dissemination\, as well as current legislation that is significant to our community members affected. \nA Table of Remembrance will be present to honor those lost\, those we want to remember\, and for all those who wish to share their story of overdose. Please join our community in raising awareness and providing support our fellow community members \nWe will have naloxone available with individuals from the Works Program who can provide narcan trainings. Additionally\, our booth will have a remembrance table to memorialize those that have been lost to overdose.
